“The Candlemakers’ Petition” is a well known satire of protectionism written and published in 1845, as part of Bastiat’s Economic Sophisms . This audio essay is narrated by Gennady Stolyarov. 

A great book I have read it once and listened to it again just recently – reminds and reinforces me in my belief that state should not involve itself in matters of trade or commerce . Chances are they will attempt to “guide” the market only to make matters worse !!
